Amy Piantaggini, Executive Director of Ridgefield Conservatory of Dance (RCD), shares, “Kelly is so delightful to work with!” Kelly brings her extensive experience to the studio as she teaches adult beginner tap classes on Wednesdays from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m., filling the space with energy and expertise.
Broadway Tours and Professional Highlights
Kelly’s impressive career includes three national Broadway tours, where she performed in the Tony Award-winning My Fair Lady from Lincoln Center Theater, Broadway’s Chicago, and a revival of the tap classic 42nd Street. As Dance Captain for My Fair Lady, Kelly worked closely with Tony-winning choreographer Christopher Gattelli, maintaining the show’s choreography with precision. On the Chicago tour, she played the role of Hunyak and was the understudy for Roxie Hart, showcasing her versatility and commitment.
Regional Theater Credits and International Performances
Kelly has also performed on professional regional stages across the country. Highlights include Holiday Inn at Paper Mill Playhouse, Cinderella and 42nd Street at North Shore Music Theatre, Catch Me If You Can at The REV, Anything Goes at Westchester Broadway Theatre, and Singin’ in the Rain at Theatre by The Sea, where she assisted with choreography and performed the role of the Girl in Green. Her international performances include the NYFW Desigual show with choreography by Ryan Heffington and the International Music Awards in Berlin with Iggy Azalea.
Academic and Professional Dance Training
Graduating Summa Cum Laude from Pace University, Kelly earned a B.S. in Commercial Dance and Psychology. At Pace, she performed works by renowned choreographers such as Andy Blankenbuehler (Hamilton), Jessica Lang, Chloe Arnold, and Jason Samuels Smith, and participated in restagings of original Fosse works. Kelly’s training journey began at RCD with James Robey and continued under Elizabeth Parkinson, Scott Wise, and Mary Ann Lamb, who remains a mentor. Kelly is currently pursuing an MBA through Auburn University’s distance-learning program.
A Special Connection to RCD
“I love teaching and being part of the culture at RCD! It’s rare to find a studio so dedicated to the art of dance through positive and structured methods,” Kelly shares. Returning to her original dance studio has been especially rewarding as she helps the next generation of dancers grow in technique and artistry.
