Lindsey Mackail
We are thrilled to introduce one of Ridgefield Conservatory of Dance’s newest faculty members, Lindsey Mackail! Joining RCD from Florida, Lindsey brings an extensive background in the commercial side of dance, enriching our conservatory with her diverse expertise. While RCD is known for its professional Nutcracker production at the Ridgefield Playhouse, Lindsey’s arrival highlights the wide variety of dance styles we offer, from classical ballet to commercial and contemporary dance.
A Multifaceted Artist and Coach
Lindsey is not only a dance instructor but also an artist development coach with a deep passion for cultivating talent on and off the stage. She recently relocated to the New York area and is excited to establish herself in this vibrant region. While Lindsey is currently focused on teaching at RCD, she also serves as a substitute instructor at various studios in the surrounding areas.
Industry Experience and Leadership
In addition to teaching, Lindsey works as a competition adjudicator and tour director for a national dance competition, bringing her expertise to a larger audience. Her professional portfolio also includes modeling for Dick’s Sporting Goods, where she represents women’s golf apparel.
Entrepreneur and Performer
Lindsey is the founder of Uprising Entertainment, a company devoted to artist development, performance coaching, and management/consulting for dancers and commercial artists. As a recording artist herself, Lindsey recently performed as a featured artist during the Clippers vs. Magic NBA halftime show to launch her latest music project.
Touring with the Backstreet Boys
One of Lindsey’s standout experiences was working alongside the Backstreet Boys on their 2022 tour, where she had the incredible opportunity to help develop the opening act. Her passion for mentoring shines through as she guides dancers and artists to navigate their careers, helping them to excel on stage.
Looking Ahead: Merging Art and Wellness
As Lindsey looks to the future, she plans to expand her passion for music, dance, and mental health by pursuing training in music therapy. This unique blend of disciplines will allow her to make an even greater impact on the lives of artists and dancers, helping them thrive both personally and professionally.
RCD is excited to have Lindsey as part of our faculty, and we look forward to the incredible contributions she will make to our students and the community. Welcome, Lindsey!
